Seeboden is located at the south end of the Millstätter lake – an aspiring local council with plenty of activities and excellent transport links. The excellent infrastructure means that you can get to a lot of places in only a few minutes walk. The Millstätter lake has a length of 12km and its water is of drinking quality and is home to many different kinds of fish. In the summer the water can get up to a temperature of 24°C. On the north side there are many public swimming areas and on the south side there is a hiking and biking route, which can be done in combination with a boat trip.

 

Shopping:
It only takes five minutes to get to the town of Spittal an der Drau, which boasts a mix of shops, cafés and restaurants. In only 45 minutes you are in the capital. If you are in the mood for a shopping spree in Italy, or to swim in the sea or simply to enjoy a Cappuccino, then this can be done for a day trip.

 

Children and Education:
Directly in the town is a kindergarten, a primary school and a secondary school. In the neighbouring town of Spittal, there are all types of secondary schools, such as a grammar school and a technical college. Seeboden is a very child and teenage friendly town, which besides diverse educational opportunities, there are also many playing fields and sports areas available.

 

Sport:
Water sports, riding, golf, tennis, biking – no wishes are left unfulfilled! In winter you have the ski resorts of St. Oswald, Bad Kleinkirchheim, Katschberg and Goldeck, but even in summer you can ski on the Mölltaler glacier.

 

Infrastructure:
In a radius of a ten minute walk there are a number of grocery stores. There are also dentists and GP’s, as well as a chemist. To round things off there are also hairdressers, beauty salons, cafés and restaurants.
